We have been learning about the Mayan and Aztec culture this week. We learned about some of the Gods the Maya believed in and about incredible things they created like their pyramids and the Mayan calendar. We read a beautiful story about a legend explaining many years of peace that the Aztecs once had. Here is a wonderful children's guide to the Mayas by the National Gallery of Art: http://www.nga.gov/kids/mayakids.pdf
