In Spanish this week, we first shared where we went over Spring break using the following vocabulary:

Durante las vacaciones de primavera, ¿adónde fuiste?

During Spring Break, where did you go ?

Yo fui a ___________________.

I went to _________________.

 

Next we began to learn food vocabulary by predicting if certain fruits and vegetable would float or sink:

Yo pienso que flota. I think it floats.

Yo pienso que no flota. I think it does not float.

El tomate

La zanahoria The carrot

La naranja

At the end of class,we danced a little bit to the rhythm of merengue.

We have been learning about the Mayan and Aztec culture this week. We learned about some of the Gods the Maya believed in and about incredible things they created like their pyramids and the Mayan calendar. We read a beautiful story about a legend explaining many years of peace that the Aztecs once had.
